The Zoological Society of London are looking for Bromley based volunteers to take part in their Ravensbourne Outfall Safari 2026. Aiming to help identify hidden pollution to improve and protect the River Ravensbourne, they will be hosting a short in-person training session at Community House.
Why Should You Get Involved?
Outfall discharges are a major but frequently overlooked source of river pollution, so ZSL needs your help! Outfall Safaris are bankside surveys identifying and assessing outfalls, helping to pinpoint pollution. This enables further investigation so ZSL can ensure the issue is addressed.
If you're passionate about the environment, about your local ecology, or simply wish to help, this could be a great project for you.
What to Expect and How to Join
Volunteers will survey from March until May 2026 and can choose which stretch of the river to survey and when. Surveys take place from riverside paths where access and visibility allow.
All volunteers must attend a short in-person training session delivered by ZSL. This will be held at Community House on Tuesday 31st March 2026 from 10:30am – 12:30pm.
